All You Need Is Love! (and chemo and radiation. and surgery)

Sunday I attend a Peace vigil, meditation circle, picnic out in the woods.

On monday the demons of inter-personal politics will descend upon me.
"I will spend the next week stoned and sad.
And brother that's a bargain, the worst I ever had".

Is it really better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all? The jury is still out on that question.

Received CT scan of Chest and Neck today to determine presence of any residual cancer following my summer of Chemo and Radiation therapy. Also waiting to hear from insurance company to see if they will cover any voice rehabilitation that may be available and effective.

Space/Into White.mp3
Check this one out. I always kind of liked how it turned out. It begins as a kind of free-jazz kind of thing then melds into the old Cat Stevens song from very early '70s, back when he was really writing some decent songs. Not bad for a low-budget multitrack recording.

NPR : Meet the Beatles
Weekend Edition Popular Culture commentator Steven Stark discusses the lasting impact of the Beatles. Those of cynical bent may write it all off as mere nostalgia, but it was an intense magical era, no doubt about it. And there was something in the air then, (optimism and hope?)that this present era is lacking.
